Happy Birthday, Papa!

Imogen and I traveled to Atlanta this weekend to meet up with Grandpa, stay with (great) Aunt Linda and Uncle Jeff and visit (great) Grandma and Papa.  It was a weekend full of visiting and family time.

I like this book!

This "book" is actually a novelty birthday card sent to me by Mark and Sally. It plays the Star Wars Theme and every time Imogen sees it she plops down, plays it 2-3 times with a huge grin, and then announces, "I like this book!"

We're holding hands

Last weekend Matt captured Imogen and Wyatt walking in the woods.  In the event you don't speak Toddler, the basic gist of the conversation is 'We're having fun,' 'Hi Wyatt.'

Lost Lake

We had planned to go camping at Lost Lake over Labor Day weekend, but decided to make a day trip out of it instead.  We had never been before - wow, what a beautiful spot!

Lost Lake has a ton of great campsites.  So many in fact, that we couldn't find our friends.  So we decided to rent a paddle boat and enjoy the sites.

Hanna and Matt loved the paddle boat.  Imogen did as well, but not as much (maybe it was the life vest).  Her experience was enhanced with many crackers and dried mango slices.

Manzanita

Imogen loved the ocean and spent as much of the trip as she could with her feet in the freezing cold waves.

Happy Birthday Molly!

A song from your niece (although she predictably switches to 'Wyatt' at the end).

xoxo!

Imogen turns two!

Imogen and I spent the day playing with her many new toys (thank you!), checking out 'Toddler Tuesdays' at the local amusement park, and having pizza and an ice cream sandwich once Dad came home.  It was a very special day.

Imogen's birthday party

Imogen's birthday party yesterday was a huge success.  We celebrated with Micah and Declan, who also turned two, and spent the morning playing on the playground, singing along to Joel's guitar, and going to town on birthday doughnuts.

(When presented with her doughnut, Imogen directed me "down", as in 'I'm not interested in the candle or the wish, please let me start eating chocolate.')

2nd Annual Camping Trip

We camped on Mount Hood with the Laneys and the Davitzs last weekend.  Last year, we were only brave enough to go for one night, but this year we survived two.  The kids had a blast and the all four Newells came home and napped for three hours.

And for comparison's sake: a couple shots from last year's trip.  Check out the babies!
