Imogen likes her shadow

Since Imogen wasn't a sure-footed walker until around Thanksgiving, and as you know, we live in the Pacific NW, where it's cloudy much of the winter, we realized recently that Imogen had never seen her shadow. She likes it. A lot!

January

We've just returned from a weekend in snowy Government Camp, where we played in the snow and with 10 (!!) other families. Imogen's first snowballs, conveniently stored on Dad's neck:
A posse of toddlers and their minders.
Don't they look like little grown ups at a party?

Zoo date

On Sunday, we went on a doubledate to the Zoo with Renee and Declan. The cold weather meant we were rewarded with no crowds and (by extension?) animals on display. For example, lions!
Renee and I did have a moment where we wondered how thick the glass really was...
While Imogen meowed at her new friend.
Here we are just after learning that our female elephant is 10 months pregnant. Which means she's due in a mere 12 months!!
Highlights for the 16 month olds were: riding together in side-by-side carseats (and holding hands), riding together in the stroller, walking at the end of the zoo loop and checking out the holiday lights.

Imogen and Santa Kennedy

Fortunately, he was able to win her over in the long run.

Recent pics

Here are a few recent pics of Imogen as well as a video of her saying one of her most frequently used words.

Note: her nose looks worse than it was. Poor thing had three separate face plants in the span of one week. Her nose was no match for the carpet. Learning to walk is rough!
